With travel restrictions affecting us all, we bring you two great rides on home soil. Our Isle of Wight route shows the views on England’s south coast are just as spectacular as the Med, plus we prove you don’t need to live in the countryside to have off-road routes on your doorstep as we take you on a gravel journey straight from the heart of London.

The high peaks of Valais, Switzerland, form the backdrop for one of the most visually stunning, yet vertiginously challenging, routes we’ve tackled to date.

This issue’s selection of gravel machines on test come from Cannondale, Kinesis, Specialized and Niner, plus we review Shimano’s gravel-specific GRX Di2 groupset.

If that’s not enough, there are the latest new bikes from BMC, Factor and Stayer, as well as brand new gear from Campagnolo, Giro, Castelli, Spinergy and more.

Finally there’s the Knowledge section, bringing you up to speed on suspension, teaching you to bunny hop, helping you eat well on the go, plus keeping you riding with some useful trailside mechanical hacks that are good to know when all else
